WHAT IS THE DRIVE-THRU CORONAVIRUS TESTING PROCESS?
Drive-thru testing sites require an appointment and a referral from a healthcare provider or the local health department. If you have COVID-19 symptoms and are concerned about your health, here are the steps you should take:
2. LOG ON TO YOUR PATIENT PORTAL
Please complete all consent and intake forms inside your patient portal before coming for your appointment. Access to the portal is initially emailed to you when you book an appointment. You will have received an email from <> with a link to create a profile.
3. ITEMS TO BRING
Valid Photo ID (Mandatory)
Current Insurance Identification Card (i.e. Private Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
Do not worry if you do not have insurance
4. PREPARATION FOR YOUR TEST
In order to properly prepare for your test, please follow these guidelines:
Please wear a mask. Everyone in the vehicle should wear a mask.
Limit the number of people inside the vehicle with you.
5. DAY OF YOUR TEST
Drive to your testing site and follow the lane directions to wait for your turn. Stay inside your vehicle and keep your car windows up unless otherwise instructed.
Station 1: Check-In
When it’s your turn, a medical worker will approach your car. You will be asked to hold your ID up to your car window. The staff will be checking to ensure you have completed your patient consent and intake forms. If you have, you will be directed to Station 2. If not, you will be asked to pullover to the side to complete your forms.
Station 2: Test
Wait until a medical technician asks you to roll down your window. Listen closely to instructions from your technician and the test will be administered.
You're all set! All lab results will be shared with you through your patient portal within an average 2 days. As you wait for your results, self-isolate at home until you are determined negative or positive but not contagious according to CDC guidelines.
For travelers, please double-check with the staff for when you might expect your results. We recommend getting tested 72 hours before your flight, but guidelines vary by airline.
